While most of us may not be able to be physically near our moms right now – I’ll be chatting online with my mom who is 3 provinces away – we’re sharing our appreciation for everything that mothers across Canada do to build a better future for their kids and communities.
This year especially, as our team prepares to send a Mother’s Day card to Sophie Grégroire Trudeau, we’re also thinking of all the moms who are taking on new responsibilities and juggling even trickier schedules right now – for me it’s algebra problems and kids' daily journal writing. And of course, we’re thinking of everyone who is helping take care of loved ones in whatever ways we can, and all of the essential workers who are keeping us safe.
I hope you’ll take a moment to help make this Mother’s Day a little extra special, no matter how you plan on spending it. Whether it’s your own mom, your partner, or another loved one who inspires you to make a difference for the people you care about, I hope you’ll take a moment to celebrate her.
