Email from Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women Together, we are the movement! Dear Cycle Breakers, We want to send a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you for joining us at the 9th Annual I Will Run for Them 5K! Your presence, energy, and support made this year’s event truly unforgettable. This October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), we came together to honor the resilience, strength, and spirit of our Native relatives impacted by domestic violence. Together, we created a powerful space to uplift survivors, remember our loved ones lost to violence, and stand with those who are breaking the cycles of abuse. Whether you ran, jogged, walked, or cheered from the sidelines, you made a difference. We hope you were able to dedicate your steps to those close to your heart—your support brings healing and hope to our communities. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us. We want to extend a special thank you to ALL our 2024 sponsors for supporting the 9th Annual I Will Run for Them 5K. Your commitment and dedication to raising awareness of the impact domestic violence has on our communities is truly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers for making this 5K a success, and to the APD, Pueblo of Zia’s Public Safety Department, and Pueblo of Laguna’s Public Safety Department for ensuring the safety of our relatives throughout the event. And last but not least, thank you to Avanyu Plaza for hosting our 9th Annual I Will Run for Them 5K. We couldn’t have done it without all of you! Together, we can break the silence and build a safe and healthy generation! Thank you for joining the movement! P.S. If you’d like to continue supporting our work, donations are always welcome as we push toward our 2024 GivingTuesday goal!
