Since we canceled all of our in-person events, we have come to rely on messages like these more than ever before. As we move our entire fundraising operation online, Hakeem wants you to know our mission remains the same: He will continue to work around the clock to keep and expand our House majority.
First up: electing Democrat Christy Smith in CA-25's May 12th special election. This will be an important moment in our fight to hold the House this November and in deciding who will lead our country through this crisis and our recovery.
With your help in the 2018 midterms, we flipped this longtime Republican-held district from red to blue. We hope to keep it that way, but we need everyone to pitch in to do so. Will you chip in to help Christy Smith win her special election?

Christy is a State Assemblywoman and former school board member who not only has what it takes to win this seat, but also knows how to be a voice for her community. We need Christy in the House so she can lead this district through these challenging times.
But national Republicans have already made her a top target, and they're willing to spend whatever it takes to seize this seat. Make no mistake: If we lose this seat, we could lose the House majority this November.
There's less than three days left to win the CA-25 special election, and this is officially a toss-up race. We can’t keep the majority without Christy, so will you pitch in $5 between our campaigns to keep this seat blue?
