John,
Team Callie has been out knocking on doors all week, and in conversation, a man told me that efforts to protect women don’t really matter because “there will always be violence against women.”

Sadly, he’s not alone in his apathy.
Jack Bergman voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act – a bill with widespread bipartisan support for things like state grants for sexual assault and domestic violence services and offers housing assistance for victims of domestic abuse. These are basic protections that should not be up for debate.
Our district deserves better.
We shouldn’t accept violence or discrimination against our mothers, our daughters, our friends, or ourselves. And we won’t. That’s why we’re knocking on doors. This is why I’m running–to fight for a Michigan where everyone is safe, supported, and protected.
Bergman’s voting record shows he doesn’t share these values. But we can change that in November.
Can I count on your support with a contribution of any amount right now to help me get to Congress?

Grateful to have your support,
Callie
