Rachel Carson Society recognizes individuals who create an environmental legacy benefitting Sierra Club or Sierra Club Foundation in their estate plans. This outing celebrated the longstanding history of our grassroots movement in Yosemite and honored our society members’ commitment to our mission.

Based in Yosemite Valley in a comfortable lodge, participants spent six days traversing the park. They were treated to a highly personalized itinerary with guided hikes, meals in historic restaurants, and a private tour of the Yosemite Heritage Conservation Center. We also visited Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, a historic loss for the Sierra Club but a symbolic reminder that our conservation efforts must continue to protect our wild lands.

Trip participants expressed a stronger connection to Sierra Club and a renewed commitment to our collaborative environmental movement.
