I know our campaign has sent a lot of fundraising emails lately, but I wanted to take a few minutes to share why I decided to run for Auditor General — and why your support is so important to our success.
The truth is: I am no stranger to hard work.
Growing up — my mom was a home health aide, and it took all of us chipping in to make ends meet. I got my first job washing dishes at a small restaurant, and that experience, alongside watching my mom work hard every day, showed me firsthand what it means to put in the effort and support your family.
That’s why this campaign is about making government work for all of us. It’s about making sure we’re not being ripped off by pharmaceutical companies and that our kids have access to world-class schools. It’s about putting working families first, demanding transparency, and ensuring fairness for everyone.
