John,
I had the humbling honor of sitting with five women, three of whom had abortions in the past, and two of whom survived abortion attempts.
Something that struck me in the conversation was that these women all had one thing in common: a sense of being unseen and an overpowering sense of shame. They all experience the mainstream media’s positive messaging about abortion and feel their experiences are invalidated.
One of the abortion survivors reflected on how abortion is presented and stated how jarring it was to realize what was really being portrayed: “Our death was someone else’s right.”
You can watch the powerful conversation in our third “Face to Face” video, released this week, here: [link removed] ([link removed] )
The two abortion survivors sitting at this table are Melissa Ohden and Claire Culwell. You might have heard of their names before, but did you know there are thousands of abortion survivors?
These victims have found consolation and companionship in telling their stories and connecting with other abortion survivors.
The post-abortive women, Patricia, Emily, and Gigi, represent millions of women. Let this sink in. Even with thousands of abortion survivors, millions have not survived. Millions of women like these three are mourning the loss of their children — all because of lies.
The cultural celebration of killing preborn children silences countless people who are suffering from the effects of abortion. In a society where young women are told to “shout their abortion,” these three women are paving the way for truth and healing.
As anyone who has experienced any kind of trauma will attest, sharing the story of your trauma can bring about unique layers of healing. And this kind of healing is contagious, which furthers healing for all.
That’s why we made these videos… to allow hope and healing to prevail.
Women who are considering abortion right now need to see the testimonies within these videos. Thank you for watching and sharing.
