…stopping the Capitol Police from enforcing the unconstitutional "no demonstration zone" at the U.S. Capitol.
But the government asked the court to "stay" -- or pause -- that ruling pending its appeal.
John, we just got the court's decision…
The good news is the court still agrees we are correct on the law -- the "no demonstration zone" is indeed unconstitutional.
But the bad news is the Capitol Police Board convinced the court that free speech on the Capitol Steps is a threat to national security until after the inauguration.
So, the grounds of the U.S. Capitol are once again closed to demonstration…
For everyone EXCEPT Rev. Mahoney and four of his supporters.
Worse, while the grounds of the U.S. Capitol should open back up to the public after the inauguration on January 20, 2025 -- the government still plans to appeal our victory.
That's why I'm asking you to make a generous tax-deductible gift of $35, $50, $100, or more today.
Going up against the might of the U.S. government is always an uphill battle.
But your right to free speech and prayer on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol is worth fighting for.
Unfortunately, defending this appeal will cost upwards of $250,000 -- and we urgently need the resources to keep this case alive.
Can I count on your immediate donation today?
Make no mistake -- since we already won this case on the First Amendment question at district court, we have a strong case on appeal.
But the reality is the government has unlimited taxpayer dollars to pour into its case -- while we have limited resources.
As you know, we rely on the generosity of patriotic folks like you to fund our cases -- which is why I'm turning to you again today to ensure we can win this battle once and for all.
Not just for Rev. Mahoney. But for you and every other American.
