Dear friend,
I have some news to share. In case you haven’t heard, early voting in Massachusetts begins today and runs through November 1.
As Secretary of State Bill Galvin reminds us, you don’t need an excuse to cast an early ballot. You can vote at any early voting location in your city or town. There is at least one early voting site within each community.
As a helpful service, your friends at Massachusetts Democratic Party HQs have put together the Top Ten Reasons to Vote Early:
10- Be the first on your block with an “I Voted” sticker.
9- Avoid the long lines on Election Day.
8- Early voting ballots come in both Plain and Pumpkin Spice.
7- Tuesdays are bad for you.
6- Really, how many leaves can you peep? Give ‘em a rest for a day.
5- Save a volunteer from having to knock your door, call or text to remind you to vote on Election Day.
4- You are now free so YOU can volunteer to knock doors, call or text people to remind them to vote on Election Day.
3- Early voting is quick and easy, so you have more time to work on that friend or relative who still “isn’t quite sure.”
2- Mom always said, no better time than the present.
And the #1 reason to vote early …
1- When our freedoms and the future of democracy are on the line, WHY WAIT?
We encourage all Massachusetts Democrats, who are able to do so, to get out and vote early. You can find your community’s early voting schedule here. [[link removed]]
You can also request a mail-in ballot here [[link removed]] any time between now and October 29th.
Voting is the most important thing we can do. But, once you do cast your early ballot, there are many other ways you can help elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, Elizabeth Warren and Democrats all down the ballot. Click the links below for some crucial volunteering opportunities:
