Weekend Reading

Hi Friend,

We all deserve the chance to build a good life for ourselves and our families, no matter where we were born. But this election season, politicians are scapegoating immigrants for problems facing our society. Every one of us can speak out against anti-immigrant sentiment when we hear it. That includes talking with family and friends in person or even on social media. Here are five messaging tips that you can use to change someone’s mind about immigration from AFSC's Beth Hallowell. TAKE ACTION

Support an arms embargo and humanitarian access! [link removed]

Thank you to everyone who has called on Congress to support an arms embargo on Israel. Today, we are at a crucial moment. Every day that humanitarian aid is obstructed in Gaza costs lives. We must keep pressuring Congress. Tell them to stop sending weapons to Israel and insist on an immediate cease-fire and humanitarian access for Gaza! [link removed]
