Dear Friend, Today, perhaps more than ever before, US Catholics are fostering confusion on a wide range of answers on notable voting guidelines for Catholics. In other words, it is possible today for many Catholics to vote in a misguided way on issues put before them. In so doing, a candidate can win the Catholic vote on a false premise or belief. Ponder the words of St. John Paul II: “Your mission in today’s world is to faithfully safeguard certain important values: total religious freedom, the respect for human life at every stage.” “Be faithful witnesses to Christ, as difficult as this might be.” Saturdays are dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let us invoke Our Lady in Day Two Meditations and Prayers: If you have not yet done so, please submit (or update) your intentions for our Presidential Election Countdown - two Holy Masses, from October 19-20. Include intentions for our nation, candidates you have been praying for, as well as your own personal petitions. Let us also pray for eligible voters who will not be exercising their right to vote to reconsider. May Mother Mary wrap her mantle around us!
