This biodiversity summit could save the planet...

Nature is disappearing at an alarming rate and scientists are warning that we’re reaching a catastrophic point of no return for our planet’s survival.

But with world leaders converging on a biodiversity summit in days, we have a chance to alert and force them to adopt an emergency plan that could save our planet.

John,

Wildlife populations have crashed by 73% in just half a century. Entire species are vanishing before us, and our entire planet could be next if we don’t act now.

Everyday, forests, wetlands, and other wild ecosystems are wiped out. But we rely on these ecosystems for things like clean air, water, and food. So, if they collapse, we’re doomed.

The clock is ticking, but there’s still hope, John. If we can protect just a super-targeted 1.2% of Earth’s surface with the most intense ecosystems, scientists say we could save the most endangered wildlife.

World leaders are meeting next week at the COP16 biodiversity summit. This is a make-or-break moment for our planet, so let’s make sure they adopt an ambitious emergency plan. Add your name now -

Tell world leaders: save our planet before it’s too late.

For years, campaigning groups have focused on protecting huge swathes of land and ocean – 30% by 2030, 50% by 2050. Science has shown how important that is, and in the long run, we have to do it.

But an analysis just published in a scientific journal shows that TARGETED expansion of protected areas would be enough to prevent the loss of thousands and thousands of the mammals, birds, amphibians, and plants that are closest to disappearing.

And this latest study shows there is little time to spare. 61% loss in chinstrap penguins. 57% loss of female hawksbill turtles. 80% loss of African forest elephants. The numbers are staggering and they go on and on.

Momentum is on the side of conservation — governments already agreed to large-scale protection. But with a critical meeting starting on Monday, the most urgent sites need prioritisation.

Will you call on leaders to bring this miracle recovery plan for nature to life?

WWF’s report on wildlife loss could be a chilling foreshadowing of an empty planet that awaits us if we continue on our current path. Or it could be the wake-up call that finally shakes humanity into restoring harmony between people and planet.

It starts next week — and it starts with us. Will you join the call?
