Dear Friend,
Today's talk about Freedom in the Face of Fear is still open for registrations.
When we are threatened at the level of our own survival – by war, disease, or global catastrophe – naturally there is a
contraction. When survival becomes our central preoccupation, we tend to let go of a spiritually awakened perspective. We become concerned more or less exclusively with our own welfare, and lose touch with the light.
The instinct to survive comes naturally to us, because it’s been with us for hundreds of thousands of years. But the instinct to consciously evolve is very new. The spontaneous aspiration to become more conscious is only just beginning to reveal itself, and for most human beings it’s a barely emergent awareness.
This new instinct needs to be protected and nurtured. It’s vitally important, especially at moments of deep crisis, that we don’t allow it to become buried under the layers of fear that naturally arise when our survival seems to be threatened.
This will be the focus of my next talk, and I hope you’ll join me so that we can investigate this together.
