The Debate Stages are Heating Up!

Evan Low took second place in his primary for California House District 16 by just 5 votes. Now, he and his opponent met in their first debate of the cycle. Evan made sure his future constituents knew where he stands on the issues – he’s ready for the November ballot!
Spotlight candidate Ysabel Jurado also met her opponent on the debate stage – and his Trump-like antics left a sour taste in voters’ mouths. LGBTQ+ Equality Hits the Ballots
As we all know, LGBTQ+ rights are on the ballot this cycle. But several states will literally have equality-focused amendments on the ballot. LGBTQ+ elected officials in California, Colorado and Hawaii passed legislation correcting or updating language around marriage equality, while New York’s ballot initiative would update the state’s Equal Rights Amendment. In South Dakota, the amendment would remove gender specific language from the state’s constitution.
