John,
While Republican candidates try to walk back their extremism on abortion, threats continue to brew in the states.
This week, three attorneys general took the next step in efforts to ban mifepristone—a medication used in more than half of all abortions nationwide.
The AGs in Missouri, Kansas, and Idaho filed an amended lawsuit against the FDA to block access to abortion pills.
But that’s not all: the suit will be heard by Matthew Kacsmaryk, the Trump-appointed MAGA extremist who already ruled against mifepristone access last year in a historically unprecedented decision.
This update underscores the stakes of this election: The fact remains that no matter what Trump or Vance or any other anti-abortion politician tries to claim, reproductive freedom is in danger across the country.
Extreme MAGA politicians continue to attack abortion and contraception at every level of government.
Last year, the Supreme Court punted this issue to be reconsidered *after* the election, during a less electorally consequential moment. We must elect pro-choice leaders at every level NOW to continue to fight back.
Our work is more important than ever. Polling shows that voters trust Democratic candidates on the issue of abortion by net +7-points. They trust Vote Pro-Choice by a net +19-points.
Voters must hear from Vote Pro-Choice in these closing days, especially in battleground districts.
If you’re able, will you chip in to help us reach more voters and elect pro-choice attorneys general, state legislators, and judges?
Thanks so much for your support,
Sara Tabatabaie
