As someone who has expressed interest in the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update and planning issues in general, we are writing to make you aware of a few items of note.

• Much like our planners, our colleagues in the Department of Emergency Management spend a lot of time thinking about and planning for the future. Part of that work is collecting public input, which they are doing via a survey on wildfire risk preparedness open into November. The?online wildfire survey?takes just minutes to complete. Results will provide a snapshot of the area?s level of preparedness and help to shape a?countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan. Thanks in advance for helping out our fellow county planners!

• As for the latest on the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update (mentioned in our latest newsletter), the County Council public hearing began on August 19^th (view video recording). That hearing was first continued to September 11^th (view video recording), again to October 2^nd?(view video recording and minutes), and most recently to December 4^th at 10:30 a.m. Details on the latest amendments under consideration can be found in the minutes from the October 2^nd hearing.?
  
  You can review the County Council?s meeting schedule (https://snohomish.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx) to stay up to date on their calendar and plans. The record remains open to provide public comment to the Council about the Comprehensive Plan in person at the hearing, or via email to [email protected].
