FRIDAY, 10/17/2024

It's a good day for the entire world that terrorist Yahya Sinwar, who was responsible for planning the October 7 attack on Israel, has met his just deserts. And I think it opens many possibilities here. He was the best-known Hamas leader still in the fight in Gaza. There are a number of Hamas leaders who are scattered throughout the Middle East, although with the death of Sinwar, they may be going into hiding.

This presents Israel with an opportunity to finish Hamas off in the Gaza Strip. There is no way to get the citizens of Gaza to normality until they can see the possibility of the Gaza Strip without Hamas. This could be the beginning of the end of the Hamas threat. It doesn’t end the other Iranian-backed threats to Israel, that's for sure. But this has real potential to cause change in the region.

The Biden Administration's approach to Israel and dealing with Hamas is fundamentally bankrupt. The White House has been more worried about a wider war that would hurt Biden and now Harris politically at home, than it was about allowing Israel to eliminate Hamas and protect itself from the existential threat that is Iran.

There have been atrocities committed in the Gaza Strip because Hamas is using its fellow Palestinians as human shields, building a fort underground in Gaza. This prevents Israel from exercising its legitimate right of self-defense. We cannot allow terrorists to get a veto and terrorize their own people.

The world desperately needs strong, Reaganite American leadership. Our troops at home and abroad need a president that drastically increases the defense budget, someone who follows and understands what Ronald Reagan’s peace through strength strategy means: the best way to protect American interests and avoid war is being so much stronger than your adversaries that they are not even tempted to engage in aggression for fear of the consequences. Right now, we are not feared in too many places.

I sat down with Mercedes Stephenson and we discussed the current situation in the Middle East as Israel now fights a multi-front war. I explain my thoughts on the ongoing conflict below.

Critical Context: Iran is petrified – not of the U.S. – but of the Israeli government after its recent strikes against Hamas and Hezbollah. The mullahs know Israel would have the backing of the U.S. in a direct war with Tehran. Iran is in a vulnerable position that Israel should take advantage of. Israel can have the maximum impact by going after the nuclear weapons program now.

My Final Word: While Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would simply like to postpone any Israel action until after Election Day, to not disturb the far-left wing of the Democratic Party, that’s just not going to happen. Israel’s got a pressing need right now.
