Let’s take a quick aside from Israel and talk election prediction.
American University Professor Allan Lichtman, widely known for his hot streak of correctly forecasting almost every election including the 2016 election, called the election for Kamala Harris this summer.
Lichtman’s prediction is based on 13 Keys which ignore all polls and pollsters. They focus on 13 true-false statements such as the “White House party gained House seats during the midterm elections” or “There is sustained social unrest during the term.”
According to Lichtman, among the key factors that could break his prediction of a Harris Victory, is if the key “The White House party has major failure in foreign policy” turns from false to true.
Would the launch of a cataclysmic regional war that pulls in the US, with a high likelihood of turning into WWII, constitute a major foreign policy failure?
With Trump already beginning to pull ahead in the polls, Israel starting a massive war on Biden and Harris’s watch would give Trump the push that he’d need to win. Which is why Netanyahu is planning on doing exactly that.
