Friend,
Yesterday was the last debate between my opponent and me. It was hosted by a local TV station and their host, the very fair Laurel Porter.
Before we got started, my campaign manager asked to snap a photo, and I believe this perfectly captures the state of the race:
As you can see, I'm in great spirits. Every time I get to share my common-sense policies and expose my opponent's persistent betrayal of our values, more voters come to my side.
My opponent, however, did not appear to be looking forward to our debate.
And why would she?
How can she be happy to defend a record of voting to keep a border open that's resulting in the death of her constituents from the illegal migrants and fentanyl it brings across?
What's to smile about when you've voted to erase women's sports and allow men to invade their protected spaces?
The comfort of raising nearly $1 million in corporate donations and lying about it can't overcome the dread of being told the truth about your record of failure during a televised debate.
Do you feel as optimistic about this race right now as I do?
The only cause my opponent has for optimism is that she has a huge fundraising edge thanks to corporate PAC money and Democrat groups funding her campaign. Take a look at this chart to see how badly I'm being outspent. (The blue columns represent Democrat spending, the red columns represent Republican spending.)
Pretty crazy, right?
But you can do something about it. Make a contribution today to help me win this race at [link removed].
We're coming down to the wire, and your opportunity to help is slipping away. I'd appreciate anything you can spare.
Respectfully,
Joe Kent
