** Harris is happy to highlight record-breaking production, but conveniently leaves out that it is happening in spite of, not because of, her and Biden's war on American energy. ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
Washington Free Beacon ([link removed]) ([link removed]) (10/17/24) reports: "The Harris-Walz campaign said that Vice President Kamala Harris doesn't support an expansion of oil drilling in the United States, an apparent attempt to clarify Harris's comments on the campaign trail. Harris has for weeks touted record-high domestic oil production and championed the moderate increases for fossil fuel leases in the Inflation Reduction Act, raising questions about whether she might back more production as president...'No matter what she says, Harris has a long record of opposing more fossil fuel production, including off the coast of California, including with fracking, including with her cosponsorship of the Green New Deal,' Dan Kish, the senior vice president of policy at the American Energy Alliance, told the Washington Free Beacon. 'No, she doesn't support
fossil fuels. I think it's a made-up answer to get her through to the election.' The Harris-Walz campaign didn't respond to a request for comment."

** "Fossil fuels save lives, as well as keep the economy humming, get us and the supplies we need where they are going, and they keep us comfortable in extreme weather. It is not wise to limit or attempt the impossible, the elimination of more than 80% of our energy."

You mean, autoworkers aren't lining up to support the candidate promising to eliminate their jobs? How can that be?

** Fox News ([link removed])
(10/15/24) reports: "Vice President Kamala Harris’ support for electric vehicles (EVs) could prove to be costly to her chances in the critical swing state of Michigan. 'With Republicans beginning to embrace unions and labor, we are seeing a dramatic shift in voting behavior in Rust Belt States,' Jimmy Keady, the founder and president of JLK Political Strategies, told Fox News Digital. The comments come as the outlook for former President Donald Trump in Michigan has continued to improve in recent weeks, with Trump now holding a narrow lead of 0.9 points in the state, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average. That lead represents a roughly three-point swing in the race since the end of August, when Harris held a 2.2-point lead over the former president, according to the historic view of the polling average. Michigan is rated a tossup state in the presidential race in the current Fox News Power Rankings. Part of the reason for Trump’s recent surge in the state could be due to the
support of working class and union voters, who worry that the push towards EVs could put many of them out of jobs in the not-so-distant future."

What's bad for truckers is bad for America.

** Just The News ([link removed])
(10/17/24) reports: "A coalition of 24 states, led by Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers, have signed a brief against a federal electric truck mandate. On March 29, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rolled out a new electric truck mandate to increase sales of electric semitrucks from 2027 through 2032. EPA will require electric models to account for 60% of new urban delivery trucks and 25% of long-haul tractor sales by 2032. The cost of electric trucks are typically two to three times more expensive than diesel trucks, according to the Institute for Energy Research. Truckers will also have to invest $620 billion for charging infrastructure and it will likely cost utilities $370 billion to upgrade their networks. On Wednesday, Hilgers filed a brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to stop the Biden-Harris Administration from imposing this mandate on truck manufacturers. A coalition of 24 states, including Louisiana, teamed up in the Nebraska v. EPA challenge."
