This is important, team:
Without urgent action, there is a very real chance that the U.S. Postal Service will go bankrupt within months due to the devastating impacts of this global pandemic.
To make matters worse, President Trump is vowing to refuse emergency funding for USPS.
Here in Nevada and across the country, the U.S. Postal Service employs more than 600,000 people and provides vital services for all of us, but especially for our rural communities.
Americans know they can count on USPS to get the things that their families need -- from newspapers and bills to prescription drugs, Social Security checks, and mail-in ballots.
The postal service not only helps people to stay connected and send and receive important information, it is a crucial partner for countless small businesses who rely on it every day.
Congress must take action to fund USPS -- and President Trump must not stand in the way.
Thank you,
Jacky
