A new co-leadership toolkit, and our next Redefining Risk webinar.

John,
It's no secret that this is a busy time—our minds are focused on everything from the election and the broader political environment, to the ever-present climate crisis, to preparing for the end of the year.
Common Future, like the entire sector, is grappling with how to make economic justice a reality while our democracy faces threats. Elections often expose the contradictions within our broken systems, where communities of color—especially Black and Indigenous communities—are crucial for electoral success, but are also targeted by harmful narratives that justify policies threatening our rights and collective wellbeing.
In these moments, co-leadership has enabled us to engage in these critical conversations, while also creating space for reflection and care.
We are honored to share our learnings from one year of co-leadership with you through a toolkit, and to invite you to the latest in our Redefining Risk webinar series. Together, we can dream and build better systems for the future.
In gratitude,
Jennifer, Jess, and Sandhya

** Redefining Risk Webinar Series
------------------------------------------------------------
The challenges we see in our economy and democracy today—inequality, climate catastrophe, unchecked concentration of power—are the result of racial capitalism. In many sectors, this is justified and perpetuated through notions of risk and return, which protects the wealth and power of the few at the expense of communities and the planet. In this webinar, we will explore how a reframing of “risk and return” that centers community could reduce our exposure to these persistent and looming threats and build a liberatory future.
We invite you to join us for the next webinar in our Redefining Risk series on Monday, November 4. ([link removed])
