Dear SPUC supporter,

I need your help.
  1. Over half the MPs in the new Parliament are NEW - this is both a big challenge and a big opportunity
  1. The battle is on to WIN the debate on assisted suicide BEFORE November 29th
  1. MSI Reproductive Choices – responsible for around 70,000 abortions in the UK each year – is campaigning for abortion DECRIMINALISATION
(MSI has also launched a secret online app advising girls and young women on how to hide their abortions from their parents).

Because of these challenges we have taken the decision of major investment in our Parliamentary Team, including Two NEW parliamentary officers who are now in post.

They are David Banks and Maureen Martin (with delegates at Liberal Democrats Party Conference).
Their appointments have meant that SPUC has been present on the ground at this year’s Liberal Democrats, Conservative, Labour and Reform Party conferences.

With 300 new MPs taking up their seats in the House of Commons for the first time this summer – many of whom will be supportive of abortions and assisted suicide – the importance of alerting them to the dangers involved cannot be overstated.

But giving a voice to the unborn and the vulnerable at Westminster comes at a cost (c. £60,000 per year to employ 2 NEW parliamentary officers).

The lion’s share of SPUC’s annual outlay is in PEOPLE. These are the brave souls who risk online abuse and even social ostracism to take the battle for life into the corridors of power and onto the streets and airwaves.

SPUC Staff are YOUR voice in Westminster

SPUC Staff are YOUR voice on the streets and towns of the UK

SPUC staff are YOUR voice in schools and universities

SPUC Staff are YOUR voice on the news and airwaves

But most importantly of all – SPUC staff are the voice of the
vulnerable and voiceless in all of the above.

That is why I must urge you to support SPUC’s work TODAY.

There are 335 MPs that are new to Parliament. All of these new and unknown MPs present a challenge but also an opportunity.

We can be sure that our wealthy opponents with an anti-life voting bloc at Westminster will be using all their power to influence the debate against the unborn and people who are vulnerable.

The voices of the unborn and terminally ill are being drowned out by powerful special interest groups, like MSI and Dignity in Dying, who have the ear of leading government officials, including the Prime Minster.

Time is running out.

Our autumn fundraising appeal must reach at least £60,000. And I am sad to say that after 4 days we are still a long way off.

I need your help to sound the alarm bells in Parliament.

Donate today if you can.
