Reading Between The Lines Of The Mark Halperin Interview By Tucker Carlson

Recently Tucker Carlson made news yet again with one of his expert interviews.  Since leaving the sinking Fox News ship, Carlson has shown a real knack for doing the exact right interview at the exact right moment to convey the deeper and more telling story of the current political and cultural meltdown in which we all live. 

During his two-hour conversation with liberal journalist Mark Halperin, Carlson elicited the comment that the election of Donald Trump would result in the biggest, most dangerous mental health crisis ever witnessed.

That was news. Halperin asserted that tens of millions of Americans would be so distressed at the election of Trump to the White House that we would see the equivalent of a national mental breakdown. But as startling and discomforting as that statement may be, it was not the real message, not the point that needed to be driven home. That point is in fact far darker and more ominous than Halperin’s 19th Nervous Breakdown.

In defining how the left in America would see the election of Trump, Halperin said, “They [leftists] think that fellow citizens supporting Trump is a sign of fundamental evil at the heart of their fellow citizens and the nation.”

“Fundamental evil.” He is saying that for tens of millions of leftwing Americans, to support Trump is to be evil, to be beyond the realm of normal society. But what about the reverse? Are those who support Trump and the entire Make America Great Again (MAGA) Movement allowed to have a similar view of the left? Are we allowed to look at four years of total disregard for the principles of America, see the thousands of political prisoners rotting in the Garland gulag, watch as our borders are erased and billions of our tax dollars shipped off to foreign wars and not see “evil” or worse? Apparently not. It would appear that only those deluded individuals who buy the lies and manipulations of the deep state are allowed to have a high moral sensibility. 

And were that the end of Halperin’s admonishment, it would be bad enough, but in a way normal. The radical left has played the game of being pure while everyone who does not toe their line is dirty and bad for a long time. It has become tiresome and frankly a bit sad. But that was not the message that Halperin delivered.

As the conversation got darker and more threatening, Carlson asked if there is nothing to be done, nothing that could help the mentally ill and forestall the violence Halperin predicts. And right on cue, Halperin has the answer: surrender.

Look at Halperin’s words on how to avoid the “crisis” and coddle the mentally deranged Marxist thugs that roam our streets, sit in our schools of higher learning and populate a hundred thousand coffee cafes. 

Halperin declared, “I hope that Trump handles it well. I hope that he recognizes his responsibility and self-interest. That he chooses in his words and his cabinet and White House appointments and nominations and his initial legislative agenda — I hope he seeks to minimize the mental health crisis… [emphasis added]”

Translation from Washington-speak into plain English: go ahead and win but hand everything of value over to us in the permanent Washington. Turn your back on the tens of millions of Americans counting on you to restore America to its proper bearings. Take the prize and then surrender. 

So, question, Mr. Halperin: did Biden and Harris and the mob of leftist lunatics that have been installed in the current regime hold back for one second? How long did it take for Biden to sign 94 Executive Orders opening America’s borders to the illegal invasion? How long did it take them to spend so much borrowed money on their Green New Steal scams that inflation crushed America’s families while the few zealots walked off with mountains of ill-gotten gain? How long was it before the incompetent, anti-American fools at the Pentagon cut and ran out of Afghanistan leaving billions of dollars of weapons behind for very bad actors and got the 13 brave American sons and daughters on the ground in Kabul killed? 

How long did it take them to start jailing citizens for exercising their First Amendment rights, or for praying or for daring to stand up at school board meetings to protest the evisceration of their children? This list of affronts, insults and outright attacks could go on. But the point is that those who are about to elect Donald Trump do not want to hand anything to you or your co-conspirators ever again, except maybe a jail sentence. 

You are trying with these statements and this framing to lay the blame on the victims when violence happens. But it is your side, sir, that has the armed Antifa thugs ready to go. It is you who have politicized the police and military. It is you who have set the stage, daring American citizens to stand and fight. 

I know this. If President Trump follows your simpering, treasonous advice, the millions will turn their backs on him. And once freed of his presence, they will have to decide for themselves how to respond to the mentally ill provocations. And if that happens, you will regret with all your heart that you had urged him to abandon his base.

Trump Leads Harris on Guns, Crime, Immigration, Economy and More Three Weeks out from The Election

While recent polls show former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris allegedly neck and neck three weeks out from the election, on the most important issues to Americans, Trump is maintaining a strong lead. He is also leading Harris among traditionally swing voter groups when it comes to issues like the economy, inflation, and immigration.  

The latest YouGov survey shows that on the most important priorities for Americans, Trump is leading Harris by double digits, and he leads her overall on nine key metrics ranging from the economy to guns, crime, Ukraine, and Israel.

Trump’s widest margin by far is on immigration, an issue that consistently ranks within the top three for Americans after the Biden-Harris Administration’s open borders agenda flooded the country with illegal immigrants. Trump leads Harris by 14 points on immigration among likely voters, 48 percent to 34 percent. 

What is most notable about Trump’s lead on immigration is the wide support he garners from swing voters, who are not necessarily part of his standard support base. Independents favor Trump on immigration by a broad twenty-one-point margin, 47 percent to 26 percent.

Hispanics favor Trump over Harris on immigration by fifteen points, 45 percent to 30 percent. Think about that – less than one-third of Hispanic Americans endorse the way the immigration issue has been handled by the Harris-Biden Administration and believe Trump would do a better job.

Even young voters who tend to lean left and have flip-flopped on the immigration issue, say Trump would do a better job at handling the border than Harris, favoring Trump by seven points.

Inflation, which consistently ranks first or second to voters in terms of importance, is another priority where Trump leads by double digits, 47 percent to 35 percent. Among independents, Trump maintains a nineteen-point lead, 44 percent to 25 percent, and among Hispanics he leads by nine points, 42 percent to 33 percent.

Then there is the economy. Trump has maintained a consistent lead over his Democratic opponent – whether that is Biden or Harris – for most of Biden’s term. Trump leads Harris on the economy by nine points, 46 percent to 37 percent.

Again, his lead is particularly strong among independents, who favor Trump on the economy by 15 points, 44 percent to 29 percent. Hispanics also favor Trump over Harris on the economy, saying so by seven points.  

On six other issues, ranging from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and foreign policy to domestic concerns like guns, disaster response, and crime, Trump maintains a lead over Harris.

Trump leads Harris on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by ten points, 41 percent to 31 percent, and he leads her on the Russia-Ukraine conflict by eight points, 43 percent to 35 percent. On foreign policy overall, Trump leads Harris by six points.

Trump also leads by seven points on crime, 44 percent to 37 percent. On guns, Trump leads by a narrow three points, 41 percent to 38 percent, and on disaster response he leads by a single point, 39 percent to 38 percent. 

Lining up all the issues and looking at Harris’ totals, less than 40 percent of the country believes she will do a better job than Trump on nine key issues. However, Harris does lead on issues that for the most part rank as less important to voters compared to the economy and immigration.  Harris has a fourteen-point lead on abortion, a thirteen-point lead on the environment, a ten-point lead on social issues, and a seven-point lead on “democracy”.

If the election is decided based on the most pressing issues to Americans as evidenced in polling for over two years – and if that election is free and fair – it appears that Trump should be able to win. However, whether the election will be free from fraud, and whether people will vote for prosperity and peace or vote based on fringe ideologies remains to be seen.

Thank goodness Trump killed the Harris illegal alien amnesty bill

Oct. 17, 2024, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement praising former President Donald Trump for killing the illegal immigration amnesty bill:

“Thank goodness that President Donald Trump stopped the flood of illegal aliens who would have entered the country if Kamala Harris’ preferred legislation would have passed Congress.

“President Trump stopped more than 1.8 million illegal aliens being waved into our country every year – that’s how many illegal aliens the bill would have allowed into the United States under the ‘immigration reform bill’ which Harris attacks the former president for opposing. Each of these illegal aliens would have been given green cards allowing them to compete with Americans for jobs. Every one of these illegal aliens would have been able to continue the chain migration flood which crowds out people from legally immigrating to America if they don’t already have a close relative in the country.  And the bill would have ended wall funding until 2028, effectively tying the 2025 incoming administration’s hands from legislating real border security measures.

“Senate negotiators came away with a bill that puts America’s citizens last. Donald Trump stopped it, and that is one of his great achievements since he left office on January 20, 2021.”
