Dear ,

I’m excited to share an
important victory ([link removed]) in our ongoing battle to protect clean water!

Waterkeeper Alliance and our partners successfully challenged an unlawful dredge-and-fill permit issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that would have allowed a harmful expansion of the Gross Dam in Colorado, violating both the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.

The court’s ruling in our favor is a monumental win for safeguarding our waterways from irresponsible and destructive projects. Denver Water’s plan to expand the dam includes destroying 400 acres of forest, wiping out wildlife habitats, and diverting more water from fragile rivers. This ruling sets a powerful precedent, ensuring that environmental standards are upheld and that more sustainable alternatives must be considered.

But our work doesn’t stop here.

We need your support to continue fighting for clean and accessible water. While this victory is crucial, powerful corporate interests and captured government agencies will keep pushing for dangerous projects that threaten our rivers, lakes, and oceans. Waterkeeper Alliance must stay vigilant and well-equipped to keep winning these fights.

Will you help us protect our waters with a donation today? Your contribution will directly support our efforts to:
* Hold polluters and government agencies accountable
* Defend critical environmental laws like the Clean Water Act
* Continue legal battles to protect our waterways

Together, we’ve proven that we can make a difference. But there is still much more to do. Donate today ([link removed]) to help Waterkeeper Alliance continue standing strong for clean water, environmental justice, and the protection of ecosystems for generations to come.

Thank you for your continued support.
