Thanks to Nikki’s work in Washington, high school graduates and young Illinois workers across the state will have opportunities through new apprenticeship programs to learn the experience they need to operate heavy machinery in Illinois.

Grant funding will allow places like Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield to show students what career opportunities exist and connect them directly with those jobs and careers that will help them thrive.
