Record Early Voting turnout in GA

This past Tuesday kicked off early voting here in Georgia, and the turnout has been unprecedented. In just the first two days alone, a whopping 269,696 ballots were cast, surpassing the previous record set in 2020. By Wednesday evening, we've seen over 581,000 Georgians vote early.

To everyone who has already voted early, THANK YOU, and make sure to tell your friends and family to get to the polls! If you haven't yet cast your vote, remember, you have until November 1st to vote early in person or by mail. Election Day is November 5th.

Prayer Tour Stop in Buford

This morning, we gathered together in Buford, Georgia for another prayer meeting!  We enjoyed fellowship, breakfast, and prayer at First Baptist of Buford, joined by Sen. Clint Dixon and Rep. Matt Reeves. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Kamala Harris on Fox News

Vice President Kamala Harris was interviewed by Bret Baier on Fox News this past Wednesday. In case you missed it, Harris frequently sidestepped direct answers, particularly on topics such as immigration, taxpayer funding for transgender surgeries, and President Joe Biden's mental fitness. Here are the key takeaways from the interview:

1. Immigration Policy: Harris avoided direct responses to Baier's questions about the reversal of Trump’s border policies and the consequent rise in crimes by illegal immigrants. Instead, she shifted the focus to promoting the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, which sought to provide a pathway to citizenship but stalled in Congress.

2. Transgender Surgeries for Prisoners: Baier questioned Harris about her support for using taxpayer money for transgender surgeries in federal prisons. Harris responded ambiguously, saying she would “follow the law.” 

3. Accountability: During the interview, Harris said, “You gotta take responsibility for what happened in your administration.” This is pretty ironic since for the entire duration of the interview, she didn’t take accountability for immigration, the economy, or that 79% of the country thinks we are on the wrong track. Instead, she blamed Trump for things that have happened despite being in power for the last 3.5 years. 

4. Biden’s Mental Acuity: When questioned about what she knew about Biden’s cognitive health, Harris deflected, praising his judgment and leadership without addressing the timing or specifics of any cognitive decline. She kept trying to turn the focus to President Trump without answering the question. 

All in all, was this interview make or break for Kamala Harris? Probably not. However, it was a bad look for her and a missed opportunity to appeal to undecided voters who aren’t huge fans of Trump. Her answers were devoid of substance, she took no honest accountability, and seemed trapped in a corner created by her and her own team. 

Trump Town Hall in Cumming, GA

On the same day, Fox News aired a Q&A between women voters and President Trump in Cumming, GA. During the townhall with Harris Faulkner, Trump made 2 key campaign promises:

1. Protecting Women’s Sports: When asked by a grandmother about safeguarding girls' sports from the inclusion of biological males, Trump asserted, "It's such an easy question... we're not going to let it happen." He promised executive action, stating, "You just ban it. The president bans it. You just don't let it happen," emphasizing his commitment to maintaining fairness in women's sports.
    
2. Ending Sanctuary Cities: Addressing public safety, Trump was questioned about his plan to handle sanctuary cities, particularly in the context of Laken Riley’s tragic death in Athens, GA. He pledged, "We're going to end all sanctuary cities in the United States, and we're going to go back to normalcy... And we're going to have law and order." His response highlighted his focus on restoring law and order through strong immigration policies.
