The PAP Government intervened in the proposed deal between Income Insurance and the German insurer Allianz, with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) fulfilling its institutional role as the regulator. 

An immediate Ministerial statement on the facts to Parliament was made before an urgent Bill was tabled to amend the Insurance Act. This is the PAP being open and transparent with Singaporeans. Watch and read.
