Trump and his lackeys here in Georgia - Gov. Kemp and Georgia Speaker of the House David Ralston - are sounding the alarm about the June 9th election.
Their playbook, the Republican playbook, is built on voter suppression. But that tactic doesn’t work when we dismantle barriers to the ballot box. That’s why vote by mail has them scared.
And they’re right.
In our district, more than 40,000 voters already have their ballots. In 2016 the TOTAL voter turnout was just under 40,000 for the Super 6 election. We’re just five weeks from Election Day, and on track to have the highest turnout in a decade.
Trump, Kemp, and Ralston are terrified to lose their power, and based on the incredible lack of leadership they have shown on COVID-19, Georgians, and Americans have had it. When voter turnout increases - Democrats win.
This June 9th (and then again in November) we can make history, but it’s going to take all of us doing our part, including the people running for office! Our community needs a forward-thinking leader that can bridge the movements of our era –– that’s what my campaign for DeKalb Super 6 Commission is about.
I’m determined to make change now, and with your help, our progressive platform can move DeKalb forward with reforms voters actually care about.
Together, we can stand up against Trump-Kemp voter suppression and inspire people to vote in numbers we’ve never seen before. The time is now.
