Due to COVID-19 and our responsibility to uphold social distancing, 33 of our county conventions were unable to gather in person and instead were conducted by mail or telephone. Typically, county party conventions adopt resolutions and forward them on to the SCDP Platform and Resolutions Committee in preparation for the State Convention. The SCDP Platform and Resolutions Committee Chairs are providing an opportunity for individual Democrats from across South Carolina to submit proposed Resolutions.

Anyone may submit a resolution, with a few guidelines. Resolutions must not be the same, or similar to, the SCDP platform, or detract from the essence of it. You can review our current party platform on our website here.

If you would like to submit a resolution, you can submit one through our online submission form by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 15. You may also submit resolutions by emailing them to [email protected].

Resolutions may also be mailed to the South Carolina Democratic Party, 1929 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201. They must be received by Friday, May 15.
