John, I wanted to make sure you saw Kris's message, because we need to take action, and we're running out of time.

Millions of Americans across the country have already started to cast their ballots, and because of the lack of any federal law prohibiting guns at polling locations, people in more than 30 states will be showing up at polling places with the threat of gun violence hanging over them.
That’s why I’m asking you to use your voice now, before it's too late. We're looking for 2,500 gun violence prevention advocates to join us in demanding Congress make ALL polling places gun-free zones, and we're counting on you to respond before midnight tonight, John:
Please, add your name to our urgent call demanding that Congress disarm democracy by banning guns from polling places now:

Subject: It's time to get guns out of polling places
With the risk of armed voter intimidation hanging over the 2024 elections, gun safety advocates must take immediate action to protect voters, election workers, and our democracy from the threat of violence.
Will you sign on to Brady's urgent petition calling on Congress to finally BAN guns in polling places?

No one in a democracy should ever be threatened with gun violence while exercising the right to vote. So why isn't there any federal legislation to keep guns out of polling places?
Regulation has been left to the states — a large majority of which allow guns to be carried either openly or concealed at polling places.
John, the presence of firearms at polling places only increases the likelihood of violence and threatens the well-being of voters and poll workers. To protect our democracy, we must disarm it.
Please, add your name to our urgent call demanding that Congress disarm democracy by banning guns from polling places:

After the Jan. 6 attack on our nation's Capitol in 2021, the threat of a fatal shooting on Election Day isn't far from the minds of many Americans. In fact, 40% of American voters say they are fearful for their safety at polling places going into the 2024 elections.
For election officials across the country, death threats, harassment, and abuse are already weighing on them. Election workers are fearful for their own safety and that of their colleagues — and the presence of guns at polling locations only makes their jobs more dangerous.
The risk of armed intimidators at the polls is not an abstract concern:
It is our reality.
We owe it to voters, to election officials, to poll workers — to all of us — to ensure that voting is as safe and stress-free as possible.
It's urgent that we make polling places gun-free zones before Nov. 5. Tell Congress: Disarm Democracy NOW!
