Leaf collection continues

Leaf collection [ [link removed] ]

The Village’s Public Works crew working on the free leaf collection will move to Zone C the week of October 21. The collection will continue as follows:

Zone A: Weeks of October 28 and November 18
Zone B: Weeks of November 4 & 18
Zone C: Weeks of October 21 and November 11 & 18

For the best service, place leaves in piles on the parkway grass near the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. Keep leaves off the curb and street to prevent hazardous driving conditions and street flooding. Do not place brush, vines, grass clippings or trash in the leaf piles. Prescription drop box

OPD Drug Disposal

The Oswego Police Department has installed a secure, sealed Prescription Drug Drop Box, accessible to the public for safe, anonymous disposal of unused/expired prescription medication. Unused and unwanted prescriptions in the home invite the risk of misuse or accidental ingestion by children or pets.

The drop box is in the police lobby and is accessible to the public from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. At this time, vitamins, cosmetics, thermometers, batteries, illegal drugs, or sharps cannot be accepted. If you have needles or sharps, you can take them to the Sharps Drop Box located outside of the Kendall County Coroner's Office, 804 W. John St in Yorkville.

Prescription Drug Drop Boxes are made available through the Kendall County Coroner's Office Community Support & Harm Reduction Program, through participation in the Illinois EPA's drug takeback program and National Opioid Settlement funds.
