You could be the reason 22 macaque monkeys we recently rescued get to live the rest of their lives knowing care and compassion. Last month, we rescued 22 macaques from Indonesia’s last “dancing monkey village,” where they were subjected to horrific training methods, including having their teeth pulled, starved, beaten, and chained by the neck. They are now safe with our partners at the Jakarta Animal Aid Network (JAN) sanctuary and are being rehabilitated.
