Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Trump administration, through the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), has kept up its relentless assault on regulations that protect us, including issuing a sweeping policy change that suspends enforcement of major environmental protections. 
 
Can you believe this? With this change, the industries polluting our air and water will get to decide how and whether they need to follow regulations and efficiency standards! 
 

 

Demand the EPA reverse their deregulation policies!

In the last few weeks, the Environmental Protection Agency has been using the coronavirus outbreak to push through policy changes that are extremely harmful to the environment and our health:

  • allowing more pollution to be emitted into the air
  • limiting the use of research based on private health data, restricting the EPA's use of science when making rules
  • suspending its enforcement of environmental laws, telling companies they do not need to meet environmental standards during the coronavirus outbreak. 
A public health crisis is not an excuse to give up on environmental protection, FIRST. Right now, our leaders should be more concerned about what toxic pollutants are doing to our health, not less.
