Roy demands answers from FEMA on mismanagement of Disaster Relief Funds - On Friday, Representative Chip Roy demanded answers from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell on why the agency is jeopardizing its ability to respond to Hurricanes Helene and Milton by spending billions of dollars on non-immediate needs, like COVID-19. Representative Roy wrote in a letter, “FEMA is rapidly spending billions out of the Disaster Relief Fund (DRF) on non-immediate needs, including billions in unnecessary funding for COVID-19, which threatens to deplete the fund despite there being nearly two months left in hurricane season.”
Congressman Keith Self Urges DoD to Prevent Houthi Rebel Terrorists from Obtaining Anti-Ship Missiles - Congressman Keith Self sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin regarding startling reports of the Houthi Rebels purchasing highly sophisticated anti-ship missiles from Russia. “Allowing Houthi Rebels to enhance their weapons capabilities while they terrorize commercial shipping in the Red Sea would be the worst possible development in this crisis,” said Congressman Self. “Our Armed Forces must take all necessary measures to prevent the Iran-mediated sale of Russian missiles to these barbaric terrorists.”
