Your family won't want to miss out on the sweet and spooky fun of Halloween at the museum!
Dress in your spookiest costume and come to the museum to experience history brought to life. We'll have historic figures from our past and you can go back in time to the Oregon Trail, Fur Trade, and a historic circus.
You'll see our exhibits, meet military members, do a ghost scavenger hunt, and get up close to historic artifacts.
Every kid who participates gets a bag of candy to take home with them, generously sponsored by Smile Doctors of Cheyenne.
This event is free, no registration is required, and all kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Indigenous Peoples' Day 2024
Thank you for all who joined us!

We enjoyed a beautiful fall day celebrating Indigenous art and science on Monday, Oct 14! Over 200 people came to meet our artists, scientists, and dancers. They made seed bombs and colored beautiful flower fairies. We are grateful to Jasmine Pickner-Bell, Colleen Friday, Lauren Amanda Garrett, and Angelina Stancampiano for being part of this special celebration, and Wyoming Community Foundation for providing the sponsorship to bring the event to life.

Creative Aging
We are happy to recognize the Wyoming Arts Council as an invaluable partner in our efforts to serve the community! As a fellow state agency, the Wyoming Arts Council helps us develop new and exciting programs, and we often work closely to brainstorm ideas. We are fortunate to work alongside them to bring cultural and artistic experiences to the people of Wyoming.
One of the longest-running examples of our partnership is the Wyoming Arts Council's support for the biennial Governor's Capitol Arts Exhibition. This exhibit provides a unique platform for Wyoming artists to showcase and sell their works to a statewide audience.
In more recent years, the Wyoming Arts Council has continued to enhance our programs through their generous support. They have been integral to our annual Día de los Muertos event, funding a Call for Artists that brings in local creators with ties to communities that celebrate this important holiday. Thanks to their support, artists like Chad Blakely and Miranda Unwin have contributed stunning, vibrant artwork that helps us promote the event. Additionally, the Wyoming Arts Council has championed Creative Aging programming across the state, providing grants that enable older adults to explore new art forms, build lasting relationships, and engage with their peers. We are grateful for their commitment to enriching the cultural fabric of Wyoming and we are excited for another year of partnership to come!
