Hurricane Helene was made up to 500 times more likely by human-caused climate change, John.

We can’t afford to ignore the effects of climate change. It is devastating communities and sadly taking lives — as of this email being written more than 240 people have died in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Rising ocean temperatures are a massive source of energy for tropical storms. Hurricanes with the intensities of Helene and Milton were once expected every 130 years — now they are expected at twice as often on average.

John, the consequences of climate change are playing out right in front of us. There is no denying that something needs to be done now. Can you sign on to stand with us in fighting for a safer future free from climate catastrophe?

SIGN ON

Climate change isn’t a future threat; it’s happening right now. Hurricanes Helene and Milton are both stark reminders of this fact.

We need politicians that are ready to actively combat our climate crisis and make sure future generations do not have to live in a world filled with these devastations. Can you stand with us today in the fight against climate change?

Thank you,
