This is Senator Tim Kaine. I’m writing because we have just 19 days left until the November 5th election - and you have a real chance to help your state.
I know the importance of building a strong bench – by running people for every seat – and of working until you get to the majority. That’s just what Iowa Senate Democrats are doing.
I worked for 17 years as a lawyer working for fair housing and standing up for clients who were discriminated against based on race or disability. Before I was elected to the Richmond, VA City Council, I knew my community, and they knew me. Being grounded in local community work – knowing people’s struggles, hopes, and dreams – helps legislators be better public servants.

Republicans are running scared, which is why they are pledging to spend $500,000 to stop Matt. We can’t let that go unchallenged. Help Matt, and he will flip that seat.
