Hi, team, it’s Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer here. I’m on the Blue Wall Bus Tour talking to voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin about what’s at stake in this election. Political experts all agree that Vice President Kamala Harris’ most likely path to the presidency resides in winning these states, so I wanted to reach out personally and share my thoughts about the next 19 days.

Make no mistake: this is one tough election. Vice President Kamala Harris is locked in a tied race against Donald Trump – and a new poll has her just one point up in Michigan.

But you and I both know: Between a Republican party dominated by extremists and Democrats working to safeguard our fundamental freedoms, we have a clear choice this November.

Because at the top of the ticket, we have Kamala Harris and Tim Walz – people who’ve lived normal middle class lives and understand what Americans are going through – whether it’s childcare, healthcare, or food for kids in schools. I mean, they’ve got receipts. They’ve done the work.

Donald Trump and JD Vance want to take us backward and roll back the progress we have been fighting for. They’ve even filed a lawsuit against me because of my work helping veterans and small business owners register to vote.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you personally, team – to help me defend our progress by electing Democratic governors.
