Like everyone else, I’m super stressed about the election on Tuesday, November 5 (and even post-season sports every night can only distract me so much). The all-too-real possibility of a Trump win feels terrifying – and at times, I admit, makes me doubt the capacity of our democracy.

But I always feel better when I start taking action. Volunteering for and donating to Democrats over the final couple of weeks is the best way to help the outcome – and, for me at least, the best way not to get lost in a cycle of poll-refreshing, doom-scrolling despair.

So, can you join at one of these upcoming volunteer events? It’s going to take all of us to protect our democracy and win on election day.
