We are getting to the point of no return on the climate crisis, friend.
In California and across the world, we are experiencing firsthand unprecedented climate-fueled disasters. The United Nations has issued a “code red for humanity.” Californians are grappling with worsening wildfires, drought, extreme heat, and pollution.
We don’t have the option to continue to wait for policymakers to show the political courage to take on corporate polluters. We need leaders to double down on aggressive climate action right now, because the cost of not doing enough is far too great.
To avoid the most catastrophic impacts of climate change, we must address the root cause of the problem: our continued dependence on fossil fuels. The only way to stop the kinds of oil spills that continue to devastate our coasts is to stop offshore drilling. Solving the climate crisis will require a transformation of our economy towards clean energy solutions that phase out oil and gas industries.
Voters across the state and party lines agree that protecting our environment and solving the climate crisis are top priorities. Together, we can end the era of corporate polluters pulling the strings in Sacramento and Washington, and demand political leaders implement transformational climate solutions.
