John,

My friend, Robin Stone, died because in regards to healthcare, the United States places profits over people.

Robin was the chair of the Delaware County Democrats, and a tireless advocate for universal single-payer healthcare until her passing from cancer in late 2019.

Before she passed, she asked me to keep fighting for a universal, single-payer health care system.

John, Robin had health insurance. She had what some Democrats and most Republicans like to call “access” to healthcare. But she could not afford to seek treatment at the Mayo Clinic, where specialists in her type of cancer might have helped her live a longer life. You see, Mayo Clinic was “out of network” and they wanted $16,000 to see her.

Unfortunately, her story is not unique. Millions of Americans delay or refuse treatment due to cost every year. And politicians like Joni Ernst don’t seem to care. Big Pharma, Insurance and the healthcare industry lobbyists have bought and paid for politicians across the ideological spectrum.

Can you chip in today and help me keep fighting for millions of Americans who can’t get the healthcare they need? ([link removed])

We have a choice to make, John. Are we going to continue to let this be our country’s normal, or are we going to stand up and fight for what other developed nations’ citizens possess as a human right?

This campaign is about Robin. It is about you. It is about every single person in this country who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their income.

We have less than four weeks to Election Day, and I need your help to get the word out to all Iowans that they have a real choice in this primary.

Can you pitch in and help me push through these final weeks? ([link removed])

Robin Stone was a fighter. Long before her cancer diagnosis she stood up for the disenfranchised. She questioned the status quo. She worked as hard as she could to make life better for her fellow Iowans.

Now, it’s our turn to return the favor. Join me, and let’s never give up this fight.

Onward to justice for all,
