With just 19 days left until Election Day, I want to talk about the people behind this election. Because every single vote that’s counted on November 5th represents a person’s voice. And we can use those voices to show everyone that fear and lies are not what America stands for.
Look – as the son of an immigrant, the far-right rhetoric I’m seeing in the news is straight up SCARY. They’re lying about people like me and my family, people who stand for what we stand for. You’ve probably heard a lie about someone you love, too – maybe even about yourself.
It hurts to watch a whole party try to win the future with fear. But our JOY can still win, John.
That’s what I talk about with the people I’ve met while organizing across the country: the joy we’ll feel when we vote these bullies and weirdos out of office. The joy of voting for candidates we believe in and trust. The joy of feeling like your story matters to people in power.
