You won’t be seeing an initiative on abortion next month when you fill out your ballot. No box to check to vote "yes" or "no." But let us be crystal clear: Our reproductive freedoms will be decided by what happens in the Ohio Supreme Court elections.

When we approved a constitutional amendment protecting abortion rights last November, we knew out-of-touch Republicans would challenge it. Their MO is ignoring the will of Ohioans.

But the mistake they made was bringing this battle to the court – where we have the chance to overturn the Republican majority.

If we successfully re-elect Justices Michael Donnelly and Melody Stewart and elect Judge Lisa Forbes to flip the court, our pro-abortion, Democratic majority will make sure the amendment we passed is implemented exactly as we intended. They will make abortion the law of the land in Ohio.
