John, for a candidate like Donald Trump, who openly courted a $1 billion donation from oil industry executives at Mar-a-Lago earlier this year, you can always get a friendly super PAC to air more television ads, hire more paid canvassers, or blast out mass communications.

Time is the one thing his campaign can’t buy.

So it is curious, to say the least, that Donald Trump spent that time campaigning in California last weekend, a state he has no hopes of winning in the Electoral College, to attack Adam personally.

Trump is such an egomaniac that his personal animus against Adam and our Senate campaign likely imperils Trump’s campaign strategy in other states over these closing weeks.

But there is also another truth here: California is more competitive than you may think.

Trump’s campaign rally and multi-million dollar advertising budgets for Steve Garvey and MAGA candidates are impacting more than half a dozen California House races vital to securing blue majorities in Congress.
