For us, the Summit was more than an event. It was a powerful opportunity to take up our power as founders of the flourishing multiracial democracy that is ours to create.

We were challenged and moved by the brilliance of leaders like Crystal Echo Hawk, Ibram X. Kendi, Jeff Bradach, Isabel Wilkerson, Linda Sarsour, Manuel Pastor, and Nikole Hannah-Jones, who participated in conversations about PolicyLink’s call to boldly and unapologetically build a nation that serves all people. In the coming weeks, we will share details about our Equity Summit in 2026. Building on the tremendous momentum and power we felt in Atlanta, we will bring thousands of people together in Washington, DC on the 250th anniversary of the country’s democracy. Together, we will take ownership for deciding what this country will become in the next 250 years — and whether that will be a nation where everyone can, at last, thrive.
The story of democracy in this country is not over, and its unfinished history is our inheritance. We are grateful to be writing that story with you.
