John,

In just a moment, I'm going to ask you to split a $3 donation directly to Mike Levin's reelection campaign in California's 49th District. We just got some very concerning news out of his race, so I hope you can spare a moment to hear me out.

This week, we received word that elections analysts at Cook Political Report have downgraded Mike's reelection chances in November. With less than three weeks left, CA-49 is now one rating away from a pure tossup.

Mike is running against a Republican self-funder who just injected over $2 million of personal wealth into his campaign. This unexpected cash infusion made Mike’s race extremely competitive – and it’s all happening right at the 11th hour.

In the historic 2018 wave year, Mike was one of five Democratic challengers in Southern California elected to Congress. I was an original supporter of Mike back then, and in his three terms he has consistently delivered for his district. Today, he’s the last incumbent remaining of those original five.

If we lose Mike, there are very few -- if any -- paths to retaking the House. I know that's blunt, but it's the truth. So I need to ask.

Can you please split a contribution to me and Mike Levin's campaign for Congress? This race could determine control of the House, and we can't let him get buried by his self-funding opponent.
