Israel just killed Hamas' leader, Yahya Sinwar — the mastermind of the October 7 massacre who directed the murder, rape, torture and kidnapping of thousands of innocent Israelis and Americans.
The death of this cruel terrorist leader represents a major achievement in Israel’s just war against Hamas barbarism.
For 377 days, Sinwar has kept this war going — deliberately sacrificing thousands of Palestinian lives while holding more than a hundred innocent hostages, including American citizens — all to serve his maniacal goal of destroying Israel at any cost.
In addition to orchestrating the largest massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust, Sinwar is also a U.S. Specially Designated Global Terrorist with the blood of countless Americans on his hands.
IDF troops killed Sinwar when they targeted a building in Gaza where intelligence indicated high-ranking Hamas terrorists were meeting. It was not initially known that Sinwar was among the terrorists in the building. There were no hostages or civilians in the area.
Israel’s killing of Sinwar, together with that of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, has removed the heads of Iran’s top two terrorist proxies in the region.
America must continue to stand with Israel as it works to drive Hamas from power in Gaza and confronts aggression from Iran and its terrorist proxies on seven fronts. This is a fight of civilization against barbarism.
The onus remains on Hamas to release the remaining 101 hostages, including 7 Americans. Those with leverage over Hamas, including Qatar and Turkey, must now increase the pressure on the group to surrender, free all the hostages, and bring this war to a close.
