Scholarship Essay Contest

Who: all high school students in Texas
What: scholarship essay contest
When: applications are due Nov 30 at 11:59pm
Where: anywhere in Texas, any high school (public, charter, private, home)=
; family members of TTP paid employees are not eligible, but family members=
of volunteers and Board members are encouraged to apply
Why: to award 3 prizes as outlined below to students who show an understand=
ing of the foreign relations issues facing the United States
1st Prize: 1/10 oz gold coin roughly worth $250 depending on the day=E2=80=
=99s price of gold + $500 + tickets for winner and 2 guests (three tickets =
total) to attend our Christmas party on Dec 12 in Grapevine
2nd Prize: 4 Silver Rounds from the Texas Revolution Series (2020, 2021, 20=
22, 2023) roughly worth $160 + $250 + tickets for winner and 2 guests (thre=
e tickets total) to attend our Christmas party on Dec 12 in Grapevine
3rd Prize: 1898 US Morgan silver dollar + 1992 US Peace dollar (worth abou=
t $70 together) + $250 + tickets for winner and 2 guests (three tickets tot=

he USA, should there be a major escalation of WWIII?
How likely do you think the prospect is for the use of nuclear weapons, sho=
uld events continue to escalate?
What is your opinion of the current readiness state of the US Military, sho=
uld we have to confront another foreign country?
Judging: The leadership team of True Texas Project will do the final judgi=
ng based on personal opinion as well as feedback received from activists wi=
thin our organization. The winners will be announced on Dec 4, 2024, on our=
True Texas Project Facebook, Instagram, and website pages. Winners will b=
e recognized at our Christmas party if they are able to attend, but prizes =
will be awarded at the January True Texas Project meetings nearest to the w=
inners. Winners must accept the prize in person at a TTP meeting. All deci=
sions of the Board of True Texas Project are final and indisputable.
