John,

The stakes are huge in this election, but you've probably heard that before. Here's what it actually looks like:

The biggest expansion of Medicare in years. Kamala Harris' proposal to cover long-term home care means our parents and grandparents can stay in their homes longer and receive care from home health aides. This one proposal will change the game for every person who's wondering what their options are for their aging loved ones, especially those who are trying to balance caring for small children at the same time.

Help for first-time homebuyers. Affordable housing seems to be at an all-time low right now. One way to fight back for younger people is to substantially increase the support they receive to buy their first homes and begin building wealth. Harris will raise this tax credit to $25,000 for new homebuyers ready to take the leap.

Affordable childcare. Harris has proposed capping childcare-related expenses to just 7% of household income at a time when the Department of Labor says childcare costs range from 8% to nearly 20% of median household income. Parents will be able to return to work when they're ready and send their kids to high-quality care during the day.

Support for innovators. New small businesses can benefit from extra support in the form of raising the small business tax credit to $25,000 to invest in American innovation, create jobs, and let savvy entrepreneurs build the next great American company.

These are policies that put money back into the pockets of the working class, invest in our people and our country, and give families what they need to thrive.

We can do big things in this country when there are two competent, caring leaders at the top of the ticket. When Americans go to the polls soon – and some already are! – they're thinking of the big picture and long-term. 19 days to go – let's vote for a new future!
